I used this list from Lithub.com to get a starting point and was surprised to see how many of my favorites were written before I was born! These are books that made an impact on me and have defined my reading life.

Great choices, and some are on my list as well. Of course the last few were published after I was born.

So many good ones on here I forgot about that could have made my list, too! I had A Wrinkle in Time. I loved that book as a teenager.

Ooh, what a great list — I love more than half of these. The Velveteen Rabbit is my absolute favorite, though. Even if it does make me cry.
