Happy Monday Friends! How was your weekend?
Last week was a slow week for reading. After finishing the Sally Field memoir (review here) I was pretty wrecked and with all the national news it was hard to concentrate.
However, #blogoween is progressing nicely! 👻 🎃
ICYMI:
1. What the heck is a Cozy Mystery?
I’ll be participating all month long so be sure to check back, or search “Blogoween” to find more fun posts.
The Orphan Keeper
“Based on a remarkable true story of Taj Rowland. Seven-year-old Chellamuthu’s life is forever changed when he is kidnapped from his village in India, sold to a Christian orphanage, and then adopted by an unsuspecting couple in the United States. It takes months before the boy can speak enough English to tell his parents that he already has a family back in India. Horrified, they try their best to track down his Indian family, but all avenues lead to dead ends.”
Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows.
Several people have recommended this book and it’s the October pick for The Girly Book Club. Unfortunately, the naughty stories were a bit too distracting and the real story got lost.
I am determined to get to these gorgeous titles this week. I owe reviews on two and the author of The Proposal is coming to town!
How about you? What’s on your list this week? Are you having fall weather where you are? It’s 73° so I need to live vicariously through someone!
#IMWAYR is a weekly meme hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. It’s a great way to recap your weekend and plan your reading goals for the week ahead.
