Okay, okay I admit it. Diane Chamberlain has done it again.
After TWENTY FIVE books, she can still create an unforgettable story and write characters that bring me to tears.
Her latest title, which releases October 2, is thought provoking and asks the question, how far would you go to save your unborn child? Would you literally take a leap of faith?
Carly Sears has lost her husband in the Vietnam war and weeks later finds out she’s pregnant. The doctors find a rare heart condition and are convinced the baby won’t survive. Her brother-in-law comes to her with a proposal that is impossible to believe.
I can do time travel books (Dark Matter and Kindred, come to mind) but I wasn’t expecting it from this particular author. She managed to keep the time travel aspect understandable and not complicated and it did not detract from my enjoyment of the story.
Kudos to Ms. Chamberlain for being brave enough to try something new! Well Done!
Have you read anything by this author? What’s your favorite? Mine would include Necessary Lies and The Silent Sister.
I want to read this book. Fab review
