I’ll admit it…I love these Blogger Tags. They’re so much fun to read and think about what your answers would be. Therefore, I dub today as #TagThursday!
If you’re reading this, and feel inclined then you’re tagged! (Links go to goodreads descriptions)
THREE READ ONCE AND LOVED AUTHORS:

Paullina Simons
Book that hooked me: The Bronze Horseman
Paullina Simons was born in Leningrad, USSR in 1963. At the age of ten her family immigrated to the United States. Growing up in Russia Paullina dreamt of someday becoming a writer. Her dream was put on hold as she learned English and overcame the shock of a new culture.
After graduating from university and after various jobs including working as a financial journalist and as a translator Paullina wrote her first novel Tully. Through word of mouth that book was welcomed by readers all over the world.
Michael Connelly
Book that hooked me: (I honestly can’t remember if I picked up one of his books randomly or started at the beginning!) So we’ll say it was The Black Echo
Michael Connelly was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 21, 1956. He moved to Florida with his family when he was 12 years old. Michael decided to become a writer after discovering the books of Raymond Chandler while attending the University of Florida.
Cathy Lamb
Book that hooked me: Henry’s Sisters
In her own words:
I was born in Newport Beach, California and spent my first ten years playing outside like a wild vagabond.
As a child, I mastered the art of skateboarding, catching butterflies in bottles, and riding my bike with no hands. When I was ten, my parents moved me, my two sisters, a brother, and two poorly behaved dogs to Oregon before I could fulfill my lifelong dream of becoming a surfer bum.
THREE TITLES I’VE WATCHED BUT HAVEN’T READ:
Princess Bride
Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race
The Green Mile or Shawshank Redemption, Stephen King
THREE CHARACTERS I LOVE:
Frances Bloom – Other People’s Houses, Abbi Waxman
Emma/Anna- the Kommandants Girl, Pam Jenoff
Jake Bailey- The Flood Girls, Richard Fifeld
THREE SERIES BINGED:
Dexter 2006-2013 (+5 for being based on a book)
Bosch 2014 -present (+10 for being based on a book series)
Travelers 2017-present
THREE UNPOPULAR BOOKISH OPINIONS:
I didn’t like Harry and Ginny together.
I didn’t like Book Thief or Life of Pi.
I’m not a fan of the Fantasy/Magic genre.
Not every author should try to write domestic suspense just because it’s popular.
Unreliable narrators are overplayed.
(Whoops that’s more than 3!)
THREE CURRENT FAVOURITE BOOK COVERS:
THREE BOOKISH GOALS FOR THE YEAR:
Don’t request any more NetGalley arcs until January.
Read 30-60 minutes daily.
Post at least 3-5 times a week on the blog and on social media.
I’d love to see your answers if you do the tag! Now, back to reading!
I’m telling myself to stop requesting ARCs too! I need to get caught up on the books I actually bought!

It’s such a concept!! I’m trying to finish my ARCs by the end of the month and then no more for a long time.

I enjoy book tags too! Would love to try this one. The choice of your covers shows a trend! Again, I’m not familiar with the books on your list (save for The Princess Bride), but I liked going through your post. I paused for awhile at movies whose books I haven’t read, and couldn’t think of any. Then I went hunting, and realised I had a few! I might do the tag too…:)
