It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

It’s the last Monday in July (what??) and August will be full of school shopping and trying to get back on some kind of schedule!

I just finished ALL YOUR PERFECTS by Colleen Hoover and I’ll be writing up my 4-⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ review soon!

This week I’m looking forward to reading:

  • TIFFANY BLUES by MJ Rose. This one releases next week and I was so thrilled to have won an advance copy through BookishFirst.com. It’s been described as a historical mystery during New York’s jazz age. I’ve enjoyed this author’s books and was interested to hear she departed from the magical elements she is known for.
  • THE BOOKSHOP OF YESTERDAYS by Amy Meyerson. This new-to-me author wrote a book about books! Part mystery, part drama, a woman who inherits a bookstore finds herself on a journey of self discovery  as she tries to save the bookstore and solve the clues her uncle left her. Family and forgiveness are important themes.  Amy teaches in the writing department at USC and this is her debut!
  • THE INTERMISSION by Elyssa Friedland.  This book just came out and I was lucky enough to meet Elyssa at an event recently.  The main characters have been married for 5 years and seem to have it together. No marriage is perfect but the husband is surprised when his wife asks him for a 6-month hiatus/break! The author asks the timeless question of, how honest should you be with your spouse? Do you really need to know everything?

What about you? What are you reading? Tell me what you’re looking forward to this week….book related or not!

#IMWAYR is a weekly meme hosted by Kathryn at The Book Date. It’s a great way to recap your weekend and plan your reading goals for the week ahead.
