A Month of Faves 2019 | This Is How We Holiday #amonthoffaves #orangecountyreads

I’m very excited to join Girlxoxo and Traveling with T for the annual #AMonthofFaves blog event – a fun way to recap the year that was. Get all the details here!

This will be my second year participating! (Click here to see last year’s posts!)

Join in anytime for some or all of the topics. There will also be a link-up on the host blogs so that we can all stop by each other’s posts to leave comments, high fives, good vibes, and well wishes.

FRI. Dec. 20 – #AMonthofFaves This is How We Holiday – Rep your home’s holiday look, share pictures of your holiday decorations. Christmas tree, your favorite holiday traditions, holiday festivities, favorite ornaments, places to go, holiday drinks, holiday eats, holiday-themed reads.

This topic was covered pretty well in last year’s post. Not much has changed – still love driving around looking at the lights and getting a real tree!

I love this time of year, but it doesn’t come without its own unique form of stress. It’s next to impossible to get everything done, people’s tempers are short and how can you not feel the commercialization and materialism at every turn?!

I’m guilty of overcommitting and having unreasonable expectations. Here’s what I’d rather do:

  • Focus on quality time with family.
  • Lots of puzzles and turning off our phones.
  • Music and cheesy Christmas movies.
  • Give back. Be grateful.
  • Read. Think. Plan.

Okay, that last point was the Virgo coming out! I can’t help myshelf! 🤣

    • You didn’t ask me, but yes. All you have to do is check out the prompts and respond to them on your own blog.

  1. I am at my friend’s house so am way more relaxed than usual BUT her television situation is different than mine, and I’m kind of missing watching all my Christmas stuff since her family isn’t big into TV. I may have to find a way to rectify this…

  2. I am very relaxed this year. I have everything pretty much ready, so now reading, blogging, watching cheesy movies, lunching with friends and watching Hockey. All things that make me happy.

  3. I love how you focus on how to make the season less stressful. As a society we really need to learn to do less and enjoy more.
