Happy Friday! Less than two weeks until Christmas! Are you ready?
I’m back with Girlxoxo and Traveling with T for the annual #AMonthofFaves blog event – a fun way to recap the year that was. Get all the details here!
This will be my second year participating! (Click here to see last year’s posts!)
Join in anytime for some or all of the topics. There will also be a link-up on the host blogs so that we can all stop by each other’s posts to leave comments, high fives, good vibes, and well wishes.
FRI. | Dec. 13 – #AMonthofFaves The Cook It, Bake It, Drink It or Eat It Edition – share with us this year’s favorite foods, drinks, restaurants or recipes. Or just snap a picture of something you recently enjoyed. Not into Food? Then share your (or family members) Christmas Wishlist.
Why does everyone take pictures of their food? Because we are permanently attached to our phones and we feel a burning need to document everything?! Yep I’m guilty of it too!
#foodporn = Grace before meals? Taking a photo of your food is a form of ritualistic behavior, too. In a way it’s similar to praying before meals. Click here for more about “foodstagramming”
Here are some of the meals I enjoyed!
This got me thinking about the new snacks that came out this year. At the Sweets & Snacks Expo 2019, a panel of experts discussed what makes the perfect snack. Here are some of the products they loved – have you tried any of them?
Frittle -this brand-new product combines the tenderness of fudge with the satisfying crunch of a brittle for a one of a kind snack. Small Business Innovator Winner.
Kit Kat Duos Mint + Dark Chocolate – this candy bar is crispy, crunchy and delightfully refreshing. You’ll have to wait until the end of 2019 for this one, but this stocking stuffer is definitely worth it. Most Innovative New Product Award for Chocolate.
Peeps Lemon and Marshmallow Flavored Jelly Beans – these jelly beans combine the classic Peeps marshmallow flavor with tart lemon for a new hybrid Easter treat. Non-Chocolate Winner.
Starburst Duos Fruit Chews – Each candy contains a two-flavor combo: strawberry-watermelon or blue raspberry-lemonade. Both pairings deliver and are an absolute must for Starburst fans. Non-Chocolate Winner.
Tru Fru Whole Raspberries Freshly Frozen & Immersed in Premium White and Milk Chocolate – Fresh raspberries are frozen and coated in white and milk chocolate. Once removed from the freezer, these snacks taste like an indulgent treat. Sweet Snacks Winner.
Cheez-It Snap’d – Cheez-It produced its new line of Snap’d products in four flavors: Double Cheese, Cheddar, Sour Cream & Onion, White Cheddar & Bacon and Jalapeno Jack. Salty Snacks Winner.
Pringles Wavy – The classic crisp-maker developed a new line of Pringles Wavy—potato crisps that are a bit thicker than the original formula but with satisfying waves. Get them in four flavors: Classic Salted, Applewood Smoked Cheddar, Fire Roasted Jalapeno and Sweet and Tangy BBQ. Salty Snacks Honorable Mention.
Tic Tac X-Freeze – These not-so-tiny mints are 50% larger than their classic counterparts and they deliver longer-lasting freshness thanks to cooling crystals. Gum and Mints Winner.
