Mid-Year Freakout Book Tag

My friend Tina over at Reading Between the Pages posted this recently and I had to jump on the bandwagon! It’s a great way to look back on your reading year so far.

Best Book You Have Read So Far In 2019…

Can I pick three? I can’t choose!

These titles were inspiring, exciting and full of amazing characters and excellent writing.

Best Sequel You’ve Read So Far in 2019…

Daughter of Molokai by Alan Brennert

Biggest Disappointment…

This is a favorite author which makes the disappointment more bitter. One of my favorites of hers is Every Fifteen Minutes but it seems that her last two titles are more in the domestic suspense genre.

Someone Knows by Lisa Scottoline

Biggest Surprise…

I had no idea what this book was about and was blown away by the storyline and the premise that someone could possibly commit such an act. I honestly had NO idea who did it!

Miracle Creek by Angie Kim

Newest Fictional Crush…

He owns a bookstore and is madly in love with Hanna. He would (and does) do anything to keep her safe!

Max from In Another Time by Jillian Cantor

Newest Favorite Character…

She’s an introvert and a smart ass. My kind of person!

Nina Hill from The Bookish Life of Nina Hill by Abbi Waxman

Book That Made You Cry…

Loved this book. Go hug your mom.

The End of Your Life Bookclub by Will Schalbe

Book That Made You Happy…

A special book that brings to life an idyllic cottage on a lake and a heartwarming and charming story.

The Summer Cottage by Viola Shipman

Favorite Book To Film/TV Adaptation…

Confession: I haven’t read the books. Some of the reviews are a little disappointing. The show though?! Crazy 😜 good.

Codename Villanelle/Killing Eve by Luke Jennings

Favorite Post You Have Done This Year…

They say you should write about what you know, right?

Ultimate Guide to Author Events and Book Signings

Most Beautiful Book You’ve Bought This Year…

And probably the most inspiring author event of the year too.

City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert

What Books Do You Need To Read By The End Of The Year…

Ugh. What kind of questions is this? All of them of course. I recently did a post about my most anticipated reads for the second half of the year and after I posted it, I came across another book that should have been on that list. So I’m going with this one as a “for sure read”.

Good Girls Lie by J. T. Ellison – pub 12/31/19
