The Girl Puzzle | The Season of Silver Linings | Miracle Creek

I read one excellent book last week (Miracle Creek) and am still working on my buddy read of The End of Your Life Book Club.

Two fun events last week! Angie Kim was the author speaking at an inaugural book club event and the second one was my monthly Silent Book Club meeting.

Angie was a wonderful speaker and she shared a lot about her personal life and what inspired her. She discussed unreliable narrators and her research process. She also told us which character was hardest to write (Mary) and easiest to write (Matt). We learned that the original title was Miracle Submarine and there are a few early ARCs with that title on the cover.

The Week Ahead:

This is an exciting week for Little Free Libraries everywhere!

This coming Friday is our nonprofit birthday, and this year it marks 10 years of Little Free Libraries. We’re celebrating with an event called THE BIG SHARE, and YOU can participate too. Here’s how:

Step 1: Stop by a Little Free Library May 17–19 and share a book.

Step 2: Take a photo of your visit and share it on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter with #LFL10. (When you do, you’ll be entered to win a $20 e-gift card to our online store!)

Step 3: Repeat! Visit as many Little Free Libraries and share as many photos as you’d like.

We have quite a few LFLs near us so this will be fun! Hope you have a great week!
