Last Week:
Check out 4️⃣ new posts last week…
Book Reviews posted for 1️⃣ book.
I read 3️⃣ books last week. The Last Year of The War (On Sale 3/19/19) was a beautiful story of the friendships that sustain us during the worst times and I can’t wait to share my review with you tomorrow.
Besides reading, I was quite busy participating in a photo challenge hosted by Jenn’s Book Vibes (Instagram). Every day, we posted a photo with a different color of the rainbow. As you can imagine, everyone’s feed was so bright and cheerful. I enjoyed going through my books and revisiting some of my favorites. Here are my rainbow pictures!
In other news, I’ll be attending Y’all West in May. This is an annual YA event held in Pasadena and I’m looking forward to hearing some amazing speakers like Angie Thomas, Tomi Adeyami, Alexandra Bracken, Sarah Dessen, Stephanie Garber, Tahereh Mafi, Sandhya Menon, Alyson Noel, Lauren Oliver, Busy Phillips, Veronica Roth, Victoria Schwab, Adam Silvera, Nic Stone, Nicola Yoon and MORE!
Blog Notes:
Despite my best non-efforts, I’ve reached another milestone! Thanks to a fun twitter “follow” post over the weekend, I found a few more book friends…and vice versa! I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone’s writing about this week.
Currently Reading:
Dexter meets Mrs. Smith in this wildly compulsive debut thriller about a couple whose 15 year marriage is finally getting interesting… hmm 🤔
The Week Ahead:
Tonight’s event is author Gretchen Rubin discussing her new book Outer Order, Inner Calm. Gretchen is an author I’ve long admired and I’m thrilled to hear her speak.
“I believe there’s no one-size-fits-all solution for becoming happier, healthier, more productive, or more creative; when we know ourselves and what works for us, we can change our habits and our lives.” Gretchen Rubin
So what about you, dear ones?! Tell me what you’re reading this week! Are you making any fun plans for spring break?!
Hope you have a great week!
Love, Jaymi
