It’s Monday! Again…
Here’s a brief look at the books I read last week and the week ahead.
Tomorrow I’ll be posting reviews for The Curiosities, More Than Words, The Girls at 17 Swann Street and The Silent Patient! It’s a busy week for new releases.
Last Week:
Check out eight 8️⃣ new posts last week…
Book Reviews posted for two 2️⃣ books. (Links to my reviews)
What Doesn’t Kill Her | The Lost Girls of Paris
I finished three 3️⃣ books last week. Sadie was my favorite, followed closely by Next Year in Havana! Reviews will be posted soon.
Blog Notes:
You are now looking at a “Business” WordPress site! I’m excited to see what I can do with all the plug-ins that are available to make the blog even more user friendly.
Pinterest users – talk to me! I need some help… who are these people and are they reading my posts? Is this just a different audience?
Currently Reading:
I’ve heard nothing but great things about this engaging and interesting book about four siblings and I can see why…
ICYMI:
The BBC posted this article – I love the idea of saving books and giving them a new life! The shop where books are free – from Harry Potter to maths texts.
How is this possible? Facebook turns 15 today. I learned a new word from The Economist- “The company has fostered a virtual “me-conomy”, where people (over)share their feelings, photos and comments.“
Sometimes you just can’t. To help the guilt that comes with a lazy day… How to have a Productive Lazy Day – this is a fantastic article from 2018 with some ideas on how to have a mental health day but still get at least one thing done. Thanks Emily!
The Week Ahead:
It’s looking like a quiet week and I’m hoping to get in lots of reading!
Valentines Day is coming up soon so I’m thinking about some of my favorite treats to make – my mom’s cherry cupcakes are the best. 💕
New Events:
February 15 – Jill Santopolo with Taylor Jenkins Reid
February 17 – Dani Shapiro in conversation will be actress/author Jamie Lee Curtis to discuss her new memoir Inheritance.
Check our Events Page for more details!
Hope you have a wonderful week with all five star reads and all the time to read them.
Love, Jaymi
