WED. | Dec. 26 – #AMonthofFaves : Favorite Book Covers From Our Reads This Year – what did you like about each one?
Of the six listed, can you guess which three made my best of 2018 list?
The cover for Ghosted has zero to do with the story line but I love the small pops of color on the white background.
Dear Mrs. Bird has an excellent cover that compliments the story. It has the vintage typewriter keys and the girl on the yellow background could be 1940s Emmy.
In Pieces has a black and white photograph of a young Sally Field. I love her innocent expression even with her sad eyes.
The red cover of How To Walk Away is bright and the airplane is a subtle touch. And you can’t go wrong with reverse text on a headline.
The main character in The Queen of Hearts is a heart surgeon so the gorgeous floral heart on the cover is perfect for this emotional medical drama.
And lastly, the book that I’ve mentioned before – The Immortalists. I love the black background and the colorful leaves. It’s a story of family and loss and courage and I love the symbolism of the tree.
QOTD: What’s your favorite cover? Have you read any of these books ?

I’ve read How To Walk Away and it made me want to read more by Katherine Center. And I love both the covers for Ghosted and The Queen of Hearts.

Wasn’t How To Walk Away so good? That was also my first by that author. If you’re on Netgalley they have her latest Things We Save In a Fire which comes out in 2019.
