After 2017 being a year-long book slump, I can safely say…I’m BACK!

8 Book & Blogging Highlights In 2018:

🍊Read more books in 2018 than 2017 (which wasn’t hard) and passed my Goodreads goal

🍊Changed my “brand” on all social media platforms to OrangeCountyReaders

🍊Drove almost 300 miles in one day to go to an author lunch with Kevin Kwan and then hear Sally Field speak

🍊Surpassed 1000 followers on Instagram

🍊Participated in my first Buddy Read – Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society

🍊Wrote 36 reviews for the blog (168 total posts since May)

🍊Attended 17 book signings and author events and met amazing authors like Chloe Benjamin, Lisa Scottoline, Caroline Kepnes, Anna Quindlen, Susan Orlean and Chris Bohjalian #namedropper

🍊Celebrated one year of being a Little Free Library Steward

9 Book and Blogging Goals for 2019:

🍊Post consistently on blog and social media using schedulers and prewriting posts

🍊Collaborate with local authors and independent bookstores

🍊Get Netgalley ratio above 90%

🍊Solicit monthly guest posts from bloggers and readers

🍊Maintain an editorial calendar

🍊Pass 2500 followers on Instagram and 500 followers on the blog.

🍊Learn how to take better book photos

🍊Complete Popsugar Reader Challenge

🍊Have fun and don’t stress about numbers

  1. Congrats on all of your accomplishments this past year! I drove ~a distance~ to see Meg Cabot on a school night, so I totally understand and celebrate your long trek to see Kevin Kwan and Sally Field. Best to you as you work toward your 2019 goals.

  2. I should add writing more book reviews to my 2019 goals. Other people’s reviews mean so much to me and I’d love to give back in this way. Thanks for being inspiring.
