Let’s take a look at some of the 2019 Book Challenges out there. How do you feel about them? Yay or nay? Can you be a mood reader and still complete one?
I’m looking forward to joining a few of the following challenges. I want to make some progress on the many, many books I already own, as well as meeting new, like-minded book friends! We found some big and small challenges – if you’re running one for 2019, please let us know!
Kathryn at The Book Date is doing a Connect Five Books Reading Challenge. I’m already thinking about books that connect… (all the same author, all set in the same place, all by debut authors, etc) and once I have five, I’ll write a Connect Five Post.
POPSUGAR is doing their annual challenge. You can see my post here with all the books I’m interested in reading for each of the 40 prompts.
Kendra and Autumn from the Reading Women Podcast have an excellent list of challenges for the year.
BookRiot also has a yearlong Read Harder Challenge. They encourage readers to pick up passed-over books, try out new genres, and choose titles from a wider range of voices and perspectives.
Herding Cats is hosting the Blog All About It 2019 Challenge. Basically, there’s a word each month and any time during the month you can blog about that word. In any way you want (review, recipe, photos, stories, etc.)
Megan and Crystal at TheGingerMom want to read through the alphabet with the 2019 A to Z Reading Challenge. It’s a great idea and the signup is here.
Angela at AngelsGuiltyPleasure is doing the 2019 Library Love Challenge. The goal is to support your local library and save some money!
Mommy Mannagren has a 52 Books in 52 Weeks challenge that looks good. The goals for this challenge are simple: stretch yourself out of your regular reading habits, read more, and have fun with it!
Sam over at Taking on a World of Words is reading books set during different years/eras throughout history for When Are You Reading 2019. This looks challenging!
