First Line Fridays | Miracle at the Museum of Broken Hearts #aliterarychristmas #firstlinefridays

Good Morning Friends! It’s the first Friday in December and 2019 will be here before we know it!

For today’s #FLF, the book is Miracle at the Museum of Broken Hearts by Talli Roland. It’s a short and sweet and also perfect for #ALiteraryChristmas

First Lines

‘You can’t be serious.’ My best friend Mel shoved up her glasses, peering at the newspaper ad I’d handed her. ‘A Museum of Broken Hearts? You working there?’ She snorted, and a crumb of cranberry muffin flew out from between pursed lips, landing on the small table in front of us. ‘You might as well stick Gandhi in a war museum.’

  1. Happy Friday!

My first lines come from The Mother In Law by Sally Hepworth………

I am folding laundry at my dining room table when the police car pulls up. There’s no fanfare— no sirens or flashing lights— yet that little niggle starts in the pit of my stomach, Mother Nature’s warning that all is not well.

Have an awesome weekend and stay warm! Happy reading!😊📚💕

  2. sounds interesting!

I am showcasing the book `Shadows of Deception` (Ashley Dawn) on my blog,

So here I’ll put the first line of a non-fiction book I am reading.

    Next Level Thinking (Joel Osteen)

So often we let our environment, how we were raised, and other people’s expectations of us set the limits for our life.

      • i just finished with the last page. And oh, what a read. Here is the first … few lines:
NOTHING ABOUT THIS ROOM IS REAL. If this were a party at home, the music would draw your eye to human musicians in the corner. Candles and soft lamps would light the room, and the wooden tables would be made of actual trees. People would be listening to each other, instead of checking to see who’s watching them.
and the day was great! thanks for asking.
