Thoughts: 1950s journalist makes good in male dominated industry. While I love well researched historical fiction, I’m not sure it’s for me. Arguments?

Thoughts: The cover is working against this book. The foreword by Pat Conroy plus the reviews of the lyrical prose and low country descriptions keep this one on the list.
