▶️On Monday, I attended a book signing with Gretchen Rubin, author of Outer Order, Inner Calm. It was a sold out event at the Norman Murray Community Center in Mission Viejo. Gretchen was warm and funny and a confident speaker. She discussed some of her most popular concepts for clearing the clutter in your life. If you don’t “need it, love it or use it” then she says it should go. Gretchen has a huge fan base and besides her wildly popular podcast (over 70 million downloads) https://gretchenrubin.com/podcasts/ she is most known for her Four Tendencies personality quiz.
One of the daily challenges of life is: “How do I get people—including myself—to do what I want?” The Four Tendencies framework makes this task much easier by revealing whether a person is an Upholder, Questioner, Obliger, or Rebel.
▶️Have you ever joined a book swap? Over on Instagram, Emily hosts a themed bookswap every month, with everyone posting pics on the same “reveal” day. I’ve loved being part of the group and have made some great book friends! Here’s a picture of what my swap partner sent this month. (That’s a first edition, signed Angie Thomas!)
