FRI. | Dec. 27 – #AMonthofFaves Favorite Book Covers – what did you like about each one?
These covers are so eye-catching and bright! I enjoyed all these books, which probably also informs my choices. I’m fascinated with cover trends and especially enjoy looking at editions from different countries. Also, most authors only give their opinions during the artwork process, and don’t have the final say!
Red, White and Royal Blue and How to Hack a Heartbreak both have illustrated covers that both use soft pastel colors…
The Interestings was a book I picked up SOLELY based on the cover. Love the bright rainbow.
Tell Me Everything has a cover that doesn’t instantly tell you what it’s about. The bright red mouth does suggest a sexy romance, which it is.
Midnight at The Wandering Vineyard is even more beautiful in person. It does take place at a California Vineyard, so maybe I am biased?
Everything You Are was a book I was drawn to because of the cover. After reading it, I noticed the very subtle musical “forte” symbol.
Things You Save In A Fire is eyecatching and bright. I like the subtle nod to a fireman ladder. It’s similar in style to How To Walk Away and I’d be surprised if they weren’t done by the same graphic designer.
