I’m back again with Girlxoxo and Traveling with T for the annual #AMonthofFaves blog event – a fun way to recap the year that was. Get all the details here!
This will be my second year participating! (Click here to see last year’s posts!)
Join in anytime for some or all of the topics. There will also be a link-up on the host blogs so that we can all stop by each other’s posts to leave comments, high fives, good vibes, and well wishes.
MON. Dec. 9 – A Day (or Weekend) in the Life. Let’s take a peek into each other’s lives as we chronicle what we did on a typical (or not-so-typical) day or weekend … or week.
Last year at this time, I posted about several local authors who were touring Little Free Libraries in the area, complete with elf costumes and dogs – that was certainly a highlight! (Read it here).
This year, I thought I’d share eight random things that made me happy this weekend!
We got a mystery donation of kids’ books to the Little Free Library! Even though it’s closed for renovations, it was nice to see we had a visitor.

Got a gorgeous edition of A Christmas Carol. I am loving the “word cloud” editions from Canterbury Classics.

Had fun taking pictures for my friend’s birthday challenge – she requested a #CarolinaBlueBirthdayStack – Here are some of the outtakes, including the pup who never cooperates!

Made my first batch of holiday fudge! The first picture is the finished product, and the second one is the “scraps” and edges I get to eat!

My kids worked together to help their Dad put up the Christmas lights! Let me say that again…they worked TOGETHER!

I found the CUTEST bookish unmentionables at Target and I had to buy them for some (very) close book friends!

We had a bookstagram holiday book swap/meetup, it didn’t rain on us and I got to meet some amazing women IRL!

Finished the weekend with some delicious food at The Social List! Pretty authentic spanish food! Pictured is Patatas Bravas: Crispy Kennebec potatoes, spicy bravas sauce & house-made garlic aioli. Catalan Tomato Toast: Garlic rubbed artisan bread, fresh tomato, Manchego cheese, olive oil drizzle & sea salt.
