Nonfiction November – Week 1

Do you love November? Do you love nonfiction? Or maybe you just like alliteration! I’ve decided to join Julie (JulzReads), Sarah (Sarah’s Book Shelves), Katie (Doing Dewey), Rennie (What’s Nonfiction) and Kim (Sophisticated Dorkiness) for the fifth annual Nonfiction November, a month-long celebration of everything nonfiction! They are even hosting an Instagram photo challenge!

Week #1 Oct. 29 to Nov. 2–

Your Year in Nonfiction (Kim @ Sophisticated Dorkiness):

Take a look back at your year of nonfiction and reflect on the following questions – What was your favorite nonfiction read of the year? Do you have a particular topic you’ve been attracted to more this year? What nonfiction book have you recommended the most? What are you hoping to get out of participating in Nonfiction November?

Memoirs have long been a favorite of mine – they give us such insight into people’s lives. Looking back I’ve read 8 nonfiction books this year.

My favorite would have to be In Pieces by Sally Field. Second place would go to Okay Fine Whatever by Courtenay Hameister. Third place goes to The Accidental Truth by Lauri Taylor. (Link goes back to my original review.)

I’m hoping to read a couple more nonfiction books before the end of the year as well as meet new blogger friends!

Thanks to everyone for visiting and would love to hear what YOUR favorite nonfiction reads are!
